女诗人格丽克Louise Glück生于1943年（她的姓读作 /glik/），1985年的《阿基琉斯的胜利》The Triumph of Achilles获得全美评论家诗歌奖，1993年凭《野鸢尾》The Wild Iris获得普利策奖，是美国2003-4年的桂冠诗人。对了，她的诗歌散论集《验证与理论》(1994) Proofs and Theories写得很有看头，常有灵光与洞见，令惯于对评论昏花的眼睛也能为之一亮。她的诗有一种不动声色的沉痛感。诗评家文德勒说，她的诗超越了“自白”与“学院”的分野。这首诗首次收入1975年出版的《沼泽上的房子》House on the Marshland，后来再版收入她的《早期四本诗合集》The First Four Books of Poems (1995)。这首诗写得似乎波澜不惊，但却暗流汹涌。 国学×参考
